Galina Ozgur is a new york based investor, advisor, and startup ecosystem builder

Galina has over a decade of experience funding and advising entrepreneurs in the very trenches of early stage development where odds are so often stacked against them. She serves as the Vice President of Platform and Investment Committee Member at H/L Ventures (NY), a venture firm focused on supporting startups at the nexus of growth, impact, and diversity, where she sees H/L’s portfolio companies from inception through growth. Multilingual and cross-culturally competent, Galina also advises the World Bank and The Innovation Fund of Serbia.

Galina’s impact in the ecosystem spans trailblazing venture organizations, such as Entrepreneurs Roundtable Accelerator (ERA) and Grand Central Tech (now part of Company Ventures). She has also served as a Scout at Aera VC (NZ/ HK), attracting deal flow to the seed fund investing in ventures in pursuit of a better world and a sustainable future, with categories of interest spanning the Future of Food Systems, Future of Health and Aging, Future of Climate and Carbon, and Future of Education and Work.

Galina supports founders with mentorship through 500 Startups, ERA Global, HUG Fellowship by CHOBANI, Parallel 18 Accelerator, and many other programs across coasts and borders. She is an active member of the professional organization uniting women in venture in New York and globally, called Women in VC, a proud advisor to a number of select startup companies, and was recently recognized as one of the 40 under 40 Rising Stars in Venture by the Venture Capital Journal.
