We usually meet people after their lives have acquired a clean narrative. The turning points appear inevitable. The choices look deliberate. The contradictions disappear.
The Becoming Project goes beneath that version. Each conversation follows the family, identity, relationships, private obsessions, chance encounters, difficult seasons, and events beyond anyone’s control that shaped one person’s way of moving through the world.
A life is shaped long before its most visible moments—and keeps changing long after them.

Four questions create a shared arc without forcing a singular life into a formula: formation, inflection, consequence, and what is still unfolding.
What shaped the person who could make that choice?
The visible decision is only the final frame. The conversation begins earlier—with the family, environment, access, and private logic that made it possible.
Which decision only made sense later?
Some choices arrive before a coherent explanation does. We reconstruct what the person knew, what they could not know, and what they chose to trust.
What changed after the choice became real?
A consequential decision reshapes more than a career. We follow the relationships, obligations, losses, and new possibilities that emerged on the other side.
What are you becoming now?
The story does not end at the achievement. Each conversation asks what the person is revising, releasing, or moving toward now.
